Express Dent & Paint was founded in 1998 by owner Chris Tapia, at the age of 19 he purchased the company and territory from founder James D. Chris’s stepfather. Chris took a great interest in the company at such a young age as he enjoyed fixing his personal vehicles with an eye, and a taste for perfection and passion. As the company grew from a mobile paint touch-up business to opening a 5,000 sq. ft. collision shop in the Midwest in 2004. Chris became a certified Toyota paint shop and was one of the first collision shops to go green with environmentally friendly water-based paints by PpG (Pittsburgh paint & Glass) in the Midwest. In 2015, Chris sold his collision shop in search for sun and ocean. That’s when he then decided to open a premier concierge mobile service in Southern California where he could offer customers his expert services and more while bringing his body shop to the customer’s doorstep. His goal was to help customers save money and time; this is where Express Dent & Paint mobile service began.
